I'm not quite sure who's still checking in on this blog but thought I'd post a few pictures to bring us up to date on my little ones. They are now 7 months, which I can hardly believe. They're wonderful. Getting BIG for sure. Somedays I look at them and think they grew overnight. Kind of how I felt when I was pregnant. You think it's so gradual but it really isn't. Or didn't feel like it anyway.

We've really been enjoying ourselves. Did some fun things in the Fall. Went to fairs, did some pumpkin carving. Wanted to make it apple picking but never did. We're so looking forward to the holidays this year. Last year I felt hugely pregnant and didn't have energy to do much but this year is a different story!
Let's see.. babies are rolling over all the time. Especially Steven - man, once he's crawling there'll be no stopping him! Bella's just so sweet. She's always trying to hold his hand when they're close enough.

Here's a few photos from the past few months. The last ones I posted was their 3 month pic so this'll get you up to date. We're planning our trip to visit Santa next week. Really it's just another photo op!

3 months flown by!

Well, the summer is just flying by. The babies love being outside. So do I. I just wish it weren't so darn hot some days that we end up just having to stay indoors. My sister and her family were visiting in June. That sure was nice. Since they've moved to Texas we only get to see them once a year or so. My sister just adored the babies and I loved having the extra pair of hands.
These guys are growing so much. They're so much fun. I try not to rush the time, but I wonder what they'll be like when they're crawling and talking. Little Steven is going to be a handful I think! He's already always moving in his crib. And he's so curious - typical little boy. Bella's just the sweetest. She has slept through the night now several times. And when I say slept through the night - it's like 9 and 12 hours! Don't hate me. :) But that boy of mine is a big eater so he's up more frequently and he's still not much of a napper.

This photo is one of their 3 month formal photos (our favorite). A friend of ours gave us the matching outfits. Hers says 'sweet pea' and his says 'I'm taller'. They are just too cute!

routine, shroutine!

I've come to realize that just because something happens for 3 or 4 days doesn't make it "routine". Up until this past week the little ones, have been sleeping until about 5-5:30am and then they're pretty much up! So after almost no sleep throughout the night I can't even get a quick morning nap. However... the entire week they've been sleeping until 9am (!!) Granted that's with a few middle of the night feedings as well as a 5 am feeding but then I could sleep for a whole 2-3 hours. Aaaah! And just when you start to count on it, they go and change it on me! This morning they were back up at 5:30. Well, I should say the little guy was up at 5:30. I can already tell he's going to give me a run for my money!

They have on the cutest little outfits today. Bella's is all summer-y with bright pink, orange and green apple stripes. And I found the most adorable socks with watermelon's on them (don't know where those came from) but they have an entire drawer full of socks! Sometimes it's the little things that get you through the day. I'm going to try to bring them outside a little later on for a photoshoot so I'll share pictures. But for now, Bella's sleeping and Steven is entertaining himself a bit so I'm going to try and shower.

Happy Friday everyone!

Hi again!

The bouncy seat is my new best friend! (No, that's not my baby.) But man are they getting big!! Today is their two month birthday. :) Little Steven actually recognized and smiled at me today. My Mother-in-Law was watching the kids for a little bit so I could run out to get a Father's Day gift and when I got home and looked at him, he smiled! It was too cool! Bella's real chit chatty but hasn't really mastered the smile yet. She'll get there though.

Some days I just look at them and myself, with drool and spit up all over me and wonder - who's life did I get transported into?! I have never talked about so much poop before in my entire life (sorry if that's TMI!) :) I still haven't really gone anywhere with just me and the babies but I know that'll happen soon enough.
This weekend is their baptism and my mother in law is making their christening gowns. I can't wait to see how sweet they'll look in them.

Well that's all for now. Bella's needing some attention. I'll leave you with a couple pictures. Enjoy your week!!

so in love...

Hello my Friends!! Has it really been 5 months?? That sounds about right considering that's about the time I went on bedrest, had hospital stays (way more than I would have liked) and had my two sweet babies!! It was all SO very worth it!
In case some of you occassionally check in.. these are my little ones! :)
Steven Harrison and Isabella Marie
born April 11th, happy and healthy!
I will of course need to post updated pictures because they are now HUGE compared to this photo. I can't believe how big they've gotten already. Life is hectic and sleep is a thing of the past, but they're really quite amazing.
How are you all doing?? :)

organizing + listmaking

So, being inspired by Amy, who organized her coat closet (which looks so pretty) and Beki who always makes little lists on her blog to document what she wants to accomplish. I'm realizing that my little ones will be here before we know it.. not that I'm totally stressing of course. But I do live with a bit of a procrastinator who thinks we have all the time in the world (17 weeks if they aren't here early, which I'm expecting them to be.) I'm going to write my little (or long) list of things I want to get done.

- organize what is currently in nursery (anything NOT baby related.)
- give away anything I can't use for a very near project
- empty nursery, including bed, extra dresser, clothes, books
- take down hanging pictures and white Christmas lights
- spackle holes in walls
- clean walls, trim and carpeting

Then the fun stuff!

- choose nursery paint color (sage green)
- paint two coats of satin paint
- tape off top portion for stripes
- paint top portion same color in a flat paint
- touch up trim paint if needed
- install chair railing trim
- admire the room :)
- start putting baby items back in nursery

Then for the rest of the house:
- organize and clean pantry
- organize and clean linen closet
- organize and clean coat closet

I am apparently going through my nesting and cleaning stage of the pregnancy. HA! I'm hoping to get a bunch done this weekend. Let's hope for productivity!!
